　　天上原本有九个太阳。它们本应该轮流工作。可突然有一天，它们不想这样了，想全体一起工作。

　　九个太阳兄弟这一举动，可害苦了老百姓们。因为天上如今有九个太阳，所以大地被烤的直冒烟。老百姓都热得不敢出门，整天待在家里。况且，大多数老百姓都是农民，因为老百姓躲在家里，田里颗粒无收，百姓民不聊生。

　　Nine sun brothers did harm to the common people. Because there are now nine suns in the sky, the earth is scorched to smoke. People are too hot to go out and stay at home all day. 　　大神后羿知道了以后，要为民除害，于是背着弓箭来到了山顶上，等着太阳的到来。

　　太阳兄弟们刚出来，早已经做好准备的后羿拿起弓箭朝其中的一个太阳射去，箭法可真准啊，射一箭就有一个太阳消失了，最后只剩下一个太阳。老百姓们对后羿感恩戴德，称他为“射日大英雄”。
